5 Ways to Style: Black Turtleneck

Hey guys and welcome to post number 2 of this fun new series! Today I’m so excited to share with you a super great basic piece for your winter closet, as well as 5 different ways to style the piece. This amazingly lightweight and soft whisper turtleneck from Madwell is the perfect layering essential for the colder months. It is currently on sale for only $20 and fully in stock so RUN to grab one!

The first way I’m styling this turtleneck, is a super easy-to-throw-on everyday look. This tan cardi is something I grabbed in an H&M one day while out in the city when the wind picked up and I hadn’t brought a jacket. Super great price and shockingly warm. Throwing it over top the turtleneck is a great way to add layers and dimension to your look. I tucked my top into some button front jeans, and paired it with some simple black booties.
The second look is an also a casual, but a little more put together outfit. Over top the turtleneck, I added a boxy flannel top, and some black button front jeans. I then finished the look with some color coordinating boots (which by the way are currently under $50!!!). Easy and comfy, yet put together looking.
The third way I styled today’s piece, was a bit dressier, and could even work for a nighttime outfit. I threw on my fave camel coat I have talked about time and time again, and again wore the black button front jeans. I threw back on the matching boots, this time tucking the pants into them to really show the shoes off. And here you’re ready to go grab a dinner out on the town!
The fourth look is my personal favorite, and one I find myself throwing on at least every other week. I simply added my long-time fave jeans, that make any outfit instantly cooler, a black belt, and a pair of nude heels. Sassy street style ready to go strut around.
The last look I have for y’all today is another cozy outfit. I simply put on some jeans I cuffed at the hems, threw on my everyday black booties, and topped everything off with my fave giant scarf.

Hope you all enjoyed this styling session and I can’t wait to share more in this series with you soon!

Cheers! Mackenzie
